In 1996 Danaher Motion launched the first generation AC motors and drives (48 Volt) for traction and lift applications.
Danaher Motion pioneered the development of low voltage AC technology and has lead the lift truck market in its conversion from DC to AC.
The market conversion was driven by user preference such as a smoother feel, better low speed characteristics and seamless changes in direction. This combined with improved efficiency, enabled longer work shifts and/or battery size reductions. Motor maintenance has been virutally eliminated.
